Judd Clarence was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and was a Nationally sponsored swimmer and cyclist before emigrating to the United States in his early 20s. Before leaving South Africa, Judd graduated from Johannesburg's top boys prep school and went on to study Law and Accounting at University, but his passion for real estate development and design/build drove his early career focus.

Prior to moving to Aspen in 2006 and founding Giant Construction and Aspen Luxury Brokers, Judd was a top-producing real estate broker and developer in Miami/Fort Lauderdale, where he acquired and refurbished apartment buildings and single-family homes.

Judd now has over twenty years of experience in Real estate and construction - working with the most sophisticated and elite home buyers to build and reimagine stunning homes, legacy estates, and ranch properties.

As the Founder and Principal of Aspen Luxury Brokers and Giant Construction, Judd brings his broad array of mastered skills and life experiences to help his clients navigate the entire spectrum of property ownership in Aspen. He is a decorated Realtor, an inspired Designer, and the licensed principal GC of Giant Properties, Inc. —contractor of record on residential and commercial projects across Aspen's core, the West End, and Red Mountain — including the Betula restaurant build. Judd's clients trust his team to monetize property through purchasing, improving, leasing and re-selling because he and his team share the expertise and skills they need to gain an advantage in the market and maximize their value and enjoyment of their properties.

Judd lives in Aspen, Colorado, with his wife, Katie, and their two sons, Taj and Jett. He remains an avid cyclist, swimmer, snowboarder, and epic chef —making the best authentic Indian Curry for a hundred miles in any direction.
